The Manchester team will pay a fixed fee of 65 million pounds (divided into 4 payment stages), plus 6 million pounds in additional fees to have Mbeumo's services.

The Cameroonian striker has just signed a 5-year contract, with an option to extend for another 12 months, with a salary of nearly £200,000/week, plus performance-based bonuses.

Mbeumo will join his new teammates on a tour of the United States early next week. During the signing ceremony, the 25-year-old striker excitedly said:

"As soon as the opportunity to join MU came up, I knew I had to seize it to sign a contract with my dream team. MU is the club whose shirt I have worn since I was a child."

Mbeumo's desire to move to Old Trafford helps the Red Devils win competition from the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Newcastle.

However, MU's big bosses are still very angry with Brentford for prolonging negotiations by raising the asking fee to 77 million pounds.

They also pressured Mbeumo to take a pay cut to complete a deal with MU or agree to join Tottenham.

Therefore, it was not until the third negotiation, more than a month after the first proposal by Red Devils, that the two clubs agreed on the transfer deal.

Mbeumo added: "My mentality must always be better than yesterday. I know I have the ability to reach new heights, learn from coach Amorim and play alongside world- class players.

MU is a club with a rich tradition, a great stadium and passionate fans. We are all determined to conquer major titles."
