The Vietnamese box office witnessed the explosive success of "Red Rain" last weekend. The film, which deals with the theme of revolutionary war, reached the 100 billion VND mark after only three days of release.

According to Box Office Vietnam data, in just the three-day weekend, "Red Rain" grossed 80.3 billion VND from 827,619 tickets/12,505 screenings. On Sunday alone, the film sold nearly 350,000 tickets/4,700 screenings nationwide, earning over 30 billion VND. This growth momentum helped the film quickly surpass the 105 billion VND mark on its fourth day of release. This is a milestone that many Vietnamese films take a week or more to achieve.
A representative from Box Office Vietnam stated: “Current screenings and those for the coming days of ‘Red Rain’ are all sold out. In the next 1-2 weeks, it will be difficult for any film to challenge this movie’s leading position at the box office.”
Specifically at the National Film Center (87 Lang Ha, Hanoi ), the theaters were packed with films during screenings from 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM; the red flag with a yellow star (indicating reservations) covered all the screenings.

Compared to "Underground: The Sun in the Darkness"—a film on the same revolutionary war theme released on April 30th—"Red Rain" shows a clear advantage in ticket sales speed.
