| Leaders of Hung Loi commune visited and congratulated the parishioners of the Protestant group on the occasion of Christmas 2025. |
Currently, the province has over 30,200 Catholic followers, over 37,200 Protestant followers, along with 86 religious leaders, 32 church officials, 2 local churches, and 258 religious groups. Another Christmas season has arrived, bringing joy to the parishioners. Months prior, in the villages and hamlets, people have been busy cleaning the streets and decorating their homes. At churches and religious groups, Christmas trees and nativity scenes have been set up in preparation for the main holiday and to welcome visitors who come to celebrate.
Hung Loi commune currently has 18 active religious groups with 2,095 religious followers. Religious leaders, officials, and followers in the commune actively comply with the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, live "good lives and uphold moral values," and are closely connected with and supportive of the ethnic communities. In particular, the Dong Trang religious group maintains its "community donation" activities well, contributing rice and sharing with families in difficult circumstances.
The head of the Dong Trang Protestant group, Vang Seo Ve, shared: "The local Party committee and government always pay attention to, support, and create conditions for people to practice their religion. Christmas is an important occasion for everyone to come closer together, decorate their homes, reflect on the past year, and welcome a new year of peace, prosperity, and happiness."
Christmas has long been a joyful holiday, reflecting the solidarity and charity of the Catholic community. At Bach Xa Parish, every year during Christmas, over 2,000 parishioners from the local area and neighboring communes such as Bac Quang, Vinh Tuy, and Phu Luu visit to participate in religious activities and celebrations. According to Father Ngo Van Tan, on the main day of the celebration, activities such as singing hymns, performing devotional acts, offering Mass, and distributing sweets to children are maintained. This is also an opportunity for everyone to gather, pray, exchange kind words, and wish each other a peaceful and happy new year.
On this special occasion, religious leaders and officials also encouraged the people to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. At the same time, they maintained and promoted the effectiveness of exemplary Catholic parishes, families, and crime-free residential areas. At churches and parishes, many humanitarian and charitable activities, such as helping poor children and people in difficult circumstances, continued to be maintained. This demonstrated the spirit of national unity, the love of God and country, living a good and virtuous life, "living the Gospel in the heart of the nation," and contributing to the overall development of the province.
Christmas today is not only a special holiday for religious people but also a shared joy for all walks of life. In the gentle chill of winter, young people gather to take warm Christmas photos, choosing small, pretty souvenirs for friends and family... Images of Christmas trees, wreaths, and reindeer sleighs are becoming familiar to all ages. Many Christmas experiences and activities to learn about the festival are organized by educational centers and schools to enhance soft skills for students. All of these are pieces that contribute to creating a season of hope, peace, and happiness.
