According to records, soil and rocks from the slopes slid down to the road surface at km84+800 and km85+700 (section through Nhi Son commune), km92+550 (section through Pu Nhi commune) and km97+540 (section through Muong Lat commune), causing local congestion. Many points have continued to experience landslides due to the rain, posing a potential risk to traffic safety in this area.
Leaders of Nhi Son, Pu Nhi and Muong Lat communes said that as soon as the landslide occurred, local authorities were mobilized to stand guard, set up warning ropes and instructed people not to pass through the dangerous area. Localities have reported to specialized agencies to mobilize machinery and vehicles to quickly fix the problem and ensure traffic.

On the morning of October 7, the work of clearing, leveling rocks and clearing drainage ditches is being urgently deployed, with the goal of soon safely opening the entire National Highway 15C. This is a vital traffic route connecting the border area with the lowland area of Thanh Hoa province, so the incident has significantly affected people's travel and transportation of goods.
