Heavy rains caused serious landslides in many places on National Highway 15C, from Chim village, Nhi Son commune to Pu Toong village, Pu Nhi commune (old Muong Lat highland district). "Currently, Nhi Son commune authorities are mobilizing functional forces and machinery to clear the large amount of soil and rock that has spilled onto National Highway 15C, to soon clear this route. At the same time, warning signs are being placed at landslide sites," Mr. Lau Di Lenh added.

National Highway 15C is the main road connecting the lowland districts of Thanh Hoa province with 8 highland communes of the old Muong Lat district and going to Hua Phan province, Laos through Ten Tan border gate.

This route passes through mountainous terrain with steep slopes, so landslides often occur, causing traffic jams every time there is heavy rain.
