Mostly because the water could not drain fast enough, some low-lying areas caused flooding. On Dong Da Street, Thuan Hoa District, the floodwaters caused many cars and motorbikes to stall. Many people had difficulty walking their motorbikes to work or taking their children to school.
On flooded roads, vehicles had to turn around to find high ground to continue moving.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF) noted that in the past 3 hours (from 10:00 p.m. on June 10 to 1:00 a.m. on June 11), in the provinces and cities, including Hue City, there has been moderate to heavy rain such as: Binh Dien Hydropower Plant 55.4mm, Rao Trang Hydropower Dam 450.8mm...
In the next 3 to 6 hours, the provinces, cities and Hue City will continue to have rain with common accumulated rainfall from 30-60mm, some places over 90mm. Warning in the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in A Luoi, Phu Loc, Phu Xuan, Thuan Hoa, Huong Thuy Town, Huong Tra Town, Phong Dien Town.
Flash floods and landslides can have very negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives; cause local traffic congestion, affect the movement of vehicles; destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting recommends that local authorities pay attention to reviewing bottlenecks and vulnerable locations in the area to take preventive and response measures.
Previously, the Hue City Hydro-Meteorological Station requested units, localities, departments and branches in the area to proactively prepare response plans for heavy rain, unusual weather developments, and tropical depressions at sea; notify ship owners and vehicles to find shelter; and localities to prepare food and provisions to be proactive in all situations.
This morning (June 11), Hue City's Hydro-Meteorological Station reported that the tropical depression causing heavy rain has strengthened into a storm (storm No. 1), level 8 intensity, 220km east-southeast of Hoang Sa archipelago. The storm is forecast to move mainly northwest, towards Hainan island.
