Chelsea push for Garnacho. |
BBC reported that MU has set a price of 50 million pounds for Garnacho amid interest from Chelsea. Garnacho also confirmed to leave MU and only wants to go to Chelsea to play in the Premier League and Champions League.
Garnacho was close to joining Chelsea in January, when he believed a deal would be struck. However, talks collapsed when United wanted £60m. The two clubs have remained in contact over Garnacho's situation.
In addition to his great potential, Garnacho's low salary also attracts Chelsea. According to Capology , he currently receives £50,000/week at MU.
Chelsea are keen on Garnacho, who could be a good fit as a winger at Stamford Bridge. The Blues want to offload Raheem Sterling to make way for the Argentine midfielder.
Asked about Garnacho during his tour of the United States last week, coach Ruben Amorim said: "He is very talented, a really promising boy. But sometimes things don't go as expected. You can't explain it specifically, but I have a clear feeling that Garnacho wants something else, a different leader."
If the deal goes through, Garnacho will become the third player in history to leave United for Stamford Bridge, after Mark Hughes in 1995 and Juan Sebastián Veron in 2003.
