Victor Osimhen joined Galatasaray after MU, Chelsea and Arsenal all refused to recruit him in the summer transfer window. This was a surprising deal not only because of Osimhen's name, but also because of the record transfer fee and "sky-high" salary that the Turkish club agreed to pay.
According to an official announcement from Galatasaray, they reached a transfer agreement worth 75 million euros - the highest fee in the history of Turkish football. In addition, Napoli also included a clause to receive 10% of the profits if Galatasaray sells Osimhen in the future.
Not stopping there, Galatasaray also publicly announced the super "huge" salary for Osimhen. He will receive 15 million euros per season, or 290,000 euros/week, according to a 4-year contract, starting from the 2025/26 season. In addition, the contract also includes 1 million euros in loyalty fees per season and 5 million euros in image rights fees.
This is considered a strong statement from Galatasaray to European football. They are willing to spend a lot of money to own big stars. Meanwhile, the fact that Osimhen does not join the Premier League will make many fans regret. According to former midfielder John Obi Mikel, who acted as an intermediary, Osimhen longed to play for Chelsea but in the end the "relationship" broke down at the last minute.
