After the Ministry of Education and Training announced the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, Dak Lak province was among the top 10 provinces and cities with the most candidates scoring 10 points nationwide.
Among them, Lam Minh Huy, a 12th grade Math 1 student at Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted (Tuy Hoa Ward, Dak Lak ), excelled and became the national runner-up in block A00 with a total score of 37.75. Specifically, Huy scored 10 points in Math; 10 points in Physics; 9.75 points in Chemistry and 8 points in Literature.

Sharing about his 10 in Math, Huy said that this was his favorite subject since middle school. Therefore, when he entered 10th grade, Huy was determined to take the entrance exam to a specialized Math class to study in a suitable environment and have better training conditions.
In addition to school hours, Huy also attends Math, Physics, and Chemistry classes to supplement advanced knowledge and familiarize himself with many different types of questions. Whenever he encounters a difficult problem, he always proactively asks his teachers to check the solution and consolidate his knowledge.
Not only studying at school and extra classes, Huy also studies online, regularly searching and downloading test questions online to practice his reflexes and test his abilities.
This year’s high school graduation exam is the first year organized under the new generaleducation program (2018), requiring students to be very careful and precise in each answer. According to Huy, even a small mistake can cost up to 0.5 points.
To achieve a perfect score in Math, Huy said that he and his classmates had been thoroughly prepared by their teachers. The exams organized by the school and the Department of Education and Training were all similar to the graduation exams, helping students get used to them and prepare mentally.
"When I got my exam results, I couldn't believe my eyes. I predicted my score for block A00, but my Literature score was higher than expected. The first people I thought of were my parents and teachers, who have accompanied me throughout 12 years of school," Huy added.
With the above score, Huy plans to apply to the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
Mr. Huynh Tan Chau, Principal of Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted, said that Lam Minh Huy was an excellent student throughout his three years at the school.
Huy is not only a good student but also very active in extracurricular activities such as: STEM Experience, national robot competitions, provincial science and technology competitions. Huy is also an exemplary class monitor and also holds the role of Head of the school's Math Club.
In the competency assessment exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University, Huy scored 1,101/1,200 points. In the high school graduation mock exams organized by the school, he was always in the top 3 students with the highest scores.
Huy's achievements are not only the pride of his family but also of the whole school, affirming the students' constant efforts in the new educational context.
