Male student won the highest prize in the province in National Informatics

DTO - With his talent and passion for Information Technology, Nguyen Chanh Chuong - a former student of Nguyen Quang Dieu High School for the Gifted (Cao Lanh City) achieved many outstanding achievements in provincial and national competitions for excellent students; especially the second prize in Information Technology in the National High School Excellent Student Selection Competition. This is the highest achievement that candidates of Dong Thap province have ever achieved.

Nguyen Chanh Chuong was born into a family with both parents being teachers working at My Quy Secondary School (My Quy Commune, Thap Muoi District). With the care and guidance from his parents, since his primary school years, Chanh Chuong was aware of studying hard.

In junior high school, Chanh Chuong became more and more diligent and diligent in studying each subject. In particular, the more he studied Informatics, the more he became fascinated and interested, so he decided to pursue his passion. After many efforts, Chanh Chuong was selected to join the Informatics Team of My Quy Junior High School. Thanks to accessing new knowledge and valuable resources from the instructors, Chanh Chuong had more conditions to indulge his passion. In addition, the boy born in 2006 also regularly accessed computers and the internet to improve his knowledge and skills in Informatics, aiming for important competitions. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 epidemic broke out, Chanh Chuong missed the opportunity to participate in district and provincial level competitions. However, he still cherished the desire to conquer new knowledge in Informatics.

With the support and companionship of his parents, Chanh Chuong passed the entrance exam to Nguyen Quang Dieu High School for the Gifted (Cao Lanh City), thereby continuing to pursue his dream of becoming a Computer Science Engineer. In the new environment, many teachers with expertise and enthusiasm in imparting knowledge and skills in the subject of Information Technology helped to further fan the "flame" of passion of the student from Thap Muoi district. With his determination to learn, Chanh Chuong passed the exam to enter the National Excellent Student Team of the province in the subject of Information Technology.

Along with that, Chanh Chuong diligently participated in all review sessions with the instructors; the school regularly created opportunities for him to interact with and learn knowledge and experience from the country's leading IT experts. He also actively and diligently studied on famous programming websites such as: Codeforces, Vnoi, LQDOJ, CP Algorithms...

According to Chanh Chuong, the subject of Information Technology helps to train logical thinking ability, scientific working methods, and optimize time. To study this subject well, students must set short-term and long-term goals in their studies, seriously implement and accumulate knowledge. In addition to acquiring good and in-depth knowledge from teachers, each individual needs to diligently self-study, access new knowledge; seek joy to create motivation to help learning become a personal need, not imposed by others.

Thanks to constantly cultivating and perfecting his thinking and knowledge of Informatics, Nguyen Chanh Chuong has achieved many impressive achievements in provincial and national exams and competitions. Typically: First prize in the Dong Thap Provincial Youth Informatics Competition for the 2021-2022 school year; First prize in the Provincial Excellent Student Competition for Grade 12 for the 2023-2024 school year.

In particular, Chanh Chuong also made a record as the first candidate from Dong Thap province to win the second prize in Informatics at the National High School Excellent Student Selection Exam for the 2023-2024 school year. With many outstanding achievements in studying, recently, Chanh Chuong was honored to be one of 11 individuals to be awarded the "Outstanding Young Face of the Land of Pink Lotus" award by the Standing Committee of Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union in 2024.

As a companion and supporter of Chanh Chuong throughout 3 years of high school, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao Tran - IT teacher, Nguyen Quang Dieu High School for the Gifted (Cao Lanh City), said: "My first impression of Chanh Chuong is his proactive, intelligent, and quick learning ability, so he absorbs lessons very well.

All the requirements and learning tasks assigned by the teacher were completed quickly. Along with the knowledge taught, Chanh Chuong also learned more algorithms on reputable websites, learned from experts... Along with the support of his family, Chanh Chuong achieved proud achievements.

Mr. Nguyen Chanh Truc - Chanh Chuong's parent, shared: "My child has a passion for IT, so the family always accompanies, creates all conditions and encourages him to pursue his passion. My wife and I are very happy and excited to see Chanh Chuong's efforts rewarded with many impressive achievements. With the desire to further motivate our child to pursue his passion, my wife and I have supported Chanh Chuong to study the major at the school he loves."

Currently, Nguyen Chanh Chuong is a freshman majoring in Computer Science at the University of Natural Sciences ( Ho Chi Minh City National University). “I know that this school has very good training quality, so I hope to study and develop myself more. In the future, I want to become a useful citizen for the community, contributing the knowledge I have learned to society and the country,” Chanh Chuong confided.
