In the entrance exam for grade 10 of the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences , Minh Duc scored a perfect 10 in Information Technology, becoming the valedictorian. The conditional subjects for which Duc achieved quite high scores included: Math 7.5; English 9.75; and Literature 8.5.

Ms. My took over as homeroom teacher, leading the class since the students were confused in grade 6. During the farewell ceremony to his teachers at Ngo Sy Lien Secondary School, Minh Duc called himself “con” and “dear teacher”. “I will never forget that: my homeroom teacher rarely had a full lunch because she was always rushing the class to clean up and arrange the tables and chairs to go to bed; my teacher never had a chance to sit still during a math class because she was busy reminding us and going to each table to watch us do our homework; my English teacher always carried more than two heavy bags with a thick set of exam papers in her hand, ready to review for us,” Duc shared.
Before leaving the middle school, the male student representing the 9th grade students sent his thanks and asked the teachers to forgive him for the mistakes, the carelessness, and the unintentional actions of the "first devil, second devil" group that caused the teachers so much suffering.

In the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences recruits students nationwide.
