Accordingly, a reader sent a question to Thanh Nien Newspaper: Nguyen Huu Tho Secondary School (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) organized a 6th grade survey on May 31, 2025, but then did not announce any survey questions to the public. In addition, there were students who did very well on the test but the published scores were not as expected, there were good students with lower scores than bad students, the re-examination scores were no different from the previous scores...

In response to this question from parents, a leader of the Department of Education and Training of District 7 said that according to the regulations of the Admissions Council of Grade 6 of Nguyen Huu Tho Secondary School, from the 2024-2025 school year, the first year the school enrolls students in this form, all participating students will do the test directly on the survey questions.

At the same time, according to regulations, when the Admissions Council announces the benchmark scores, it will announce the questions and answers of the survey. In this year's admission period, on June 10, when the benchmark scores were announced, the questions and answers were also announced on the electronic information portal of the Department of Education and Training of District 7.

Regarding the reflection of the results of the re-examination of the survey, the leader of the Department of Education and Training said that the Admissions Council established a re-examination board and the re-examination was carried out seriously to ensure the rights of students. After the re-examination, some candidates changed their results, some even had lower scores than the original results. This is a survey to assess the ability and thinking in English, Vietnamese; mathematics and logical thinking; natural sciences; social sciences: history-geography; common sense of life, so it cannot be affirmed that students who study well in class will have high scores and vice versa, as perceived by students and parents.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Nguyen Huu Tho Secondary School, District 7, will enroll 475 sixth-grade students through the competency assessment test held on May 31. The total number of students participating in the test is 1,839 with a competition ratio of 1/4, higher than last year (the previous year the competition ratio was 1/3).
