Improving the quality of waterway tourism activities.

On May 28th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with relevant agencies and units, organized a training course on ensuring safety and improving the quality of waterway tourism activities serving tourists in Da Nang city in 2026.

The program involved nearly 100 businesses and establishments providing inland waterway tourist transportation services in the wards and communes of the area.

During the training session, representatives from relevant units shared topics including: ensuring safety in inland waterway passenger transport; coordinating traffic safety on the national inland waterway route Cua Dai - Cu Lao Cham; responding to ship and boat accidents on rivers and seas and the coordination procedures of functional forces; and applying emotional intelligence in problem-solving for service staff on tourist boats…

Through this training session, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism expects that units, businesses, crew members, and personnel directly involved in waterway tourism activities will be promptly updated on the necessary regulations, knowledge, and skills.

Simultaneously, it aims to enhance the exchange of practical experience, improve coordination in management and operation, ensure the safety of tourists, and build a safe and professional waterway tourism environment.
