Improve legal aid knowledge for 250 prestigious people and grassroots officials

On November 21, the Department of Dissemination, Legal Education and Legal Aid, Ministry of Justice coordinated with the State Legal Aid Center No. 1 of Phu Tho province and Thanh Son commune to organize a training conference to improve capacity and knowledge on legal aid for 250 prestigious people in the community and grassroots cadres in ethnic minority areas in the area.

Dr. Nguyen Dac Tuan, senior lecturer of the Faculty of Criminal Law, Hanoi Law University, shares knowledge about legal aid.

The delegates listened to Dr. Nguyen Dac Tuan, senior lecturer of the Faculty of Criminal Law, Hanoi Law University, present the meaning of legal aid activities; provisions of the Law on Legal Aid; beneficiaries of legal aid; rights and obligations of legal aid beneficiaries; coordination mechanism, principles of legal aid; conditions for beneficiaries, steps for receiving and guiding legal aid applications.

Delegates are prestigious people in Thanh Son commune community attending the conference.

Delegates also discussed, shared experiences and pointed out common difficulties in handling situations, thereby reaching consensus on implementation methods.

The reporter spent a lot of time focusing on practical skills in detecting, introducing and promptly supporting cases in need of legal aid at the grassroots level; integrating many common legal situations in people's daily lives, helping grassroots officials easily access, grasp and apply; analyzing and guiding how to resolve each situation, emphasizing flexibility in applying the law and the importance of coordination between agencies and organizations.

The training conference was organized to contribute to improving knowledge and skills in providing legal aid at the grassroots level, increasing people's access to the law.
