Speaking at the Forum, Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of VCCI said: “In the atmosphere of the whole country looking forward to the great national holidays, the Vietnamese business community is proud to accompany the nation in developing the economy in a sustainable direction. This is also the time when we need to actively participate in the process of restructuring the economy, transforming the growth model based on knowledge, high-quality human resources, science and technology, making Vietnam a high-income country by 2045”.

As Co-Chair of VBCSD, Mr. Binu Jacob, General Director of Nestlé Vietnam, presented a speech on developing and creating opportunities for the young generation - the core force in creating the country's sustainable future. The speech demonstrated Nestlé's global commitment and specific initiatives in Vietnam, in line with the strategic policies of the Party and the Government. Nestlé Vietnam has concretized its commitment through a series of long-term programs, typically the program to support young people in developing skills and career opportunities (Nestlé Needs YOUth); internship and training programs, and a series of activities to update in-depth knowledge completely free of charge on an online platform for young people.

Recently, Nestlé Vietnam also participated in the "three-way" cooperation model with Ho Chi Minh City National University (VNU) to implement initiatives on training, developing and connecting young talents, contributing to the effective implementation of the Party's resolutions, especially Resolution 57-NQ/TW on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.

At the event, Mr. Binu Jacob was awarded a commemorative medal by VBCSD in recognition of his active contributions to the 15-year journey of promoting sustainable development in Vietnam. Mr. Binu Jacob said: “We appreciate this recognition and consider it a source of motivation to continue our efforts for a green and sustainable future. With the support of VBCSD, the business community, including Nestlé Vietnam, will continue to make practical contributions to realizing the aspiration for sustainable development in the new era of the country.”

VCSF has been held since 2014, and is an important dialogue event on sustainable development between the business community and the Government. Nestlé Vietnam has been voted by VCCI and VBCSD as a sustainable enterprise in the manufacturing sector for many years. At the same time, Nestlé Vietnam has always been a pioneer in sharing and spreading good practices in this field, in order to promote sustainable development in Vietnam as well as realize the country's common goals and commitments.
