What is special about the mobile cybersecurity training and certification platform?

The National Cyber Security Association (NCA) said that Vietnam is expected to lack more than 700,000 cybersecurity specialists in the near future. More than 20% of agencies and businesses in Vietnam do not have cybersecurity specialists and 35.56% of units do not have enough personnel to meet their needs.

To address the shortage of personnel, on April 11, the National Cybersecurity Association (NCA) introduced the nCademy Cybersecurity Training and Certification Platform.

The Association representative said that the nCademy project does not use the state budget, development funds are mobilized from social sponsorship sources. The courses for propaganda and knowledge dissemination will be provided free of charge.

While courses that require a hands-on environment and instructors will charge learners to maintain infrastructure and develop content, the nCademy platform is expected to run a small-scale trial for three weeks at nCademy.vn. The platform will officially go live on May 6, 2025.

The nCademy platform provides online courses, from basic to advanced, supporting multiple platforms, including web applications and mobile applications. The learning materials are diversely built, study and practice instructions with vivid visual illustrations (images, videos ).

In particular, nCademy focuses on practical training through simulation environments (cyber range), which can simulate many real-world systems such as information technology (IT) systems, industrial control systems (OT) or Internet of Things (IoT) device systems.

The platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) to personalize learning paths, recommend appropriate courses, support learning outcomes assessment, and confirm cybersecurity skill levels. Cybersecurity certifications will be provided in printed or digitally signed formats.

The advantage of nCademy is that it is invested, deployed, and operated centrally, overcoming the unevenness in technology infrastructure and resources of agencies and organizations.

The quality of the courses is assessed and supervised by a professional council from the Cyber Security Research Institute (CRI) under the National Cyber Security Association and the Institute of Information Technology, under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
