Newcastle make Chelsea "exposed" at St. James' Park

Chelsea played well in their last two matches, winning 4-1 against Tottenham and drawing 4-4 with Man City, but the two-week break for the national teams seriously affected Pochettino's team. Chelsea were so bad at St. James' Park that they returned home with a humiliating defeat.

With home advantage, Newcastle rushed to attack after the opening whistle. Chelsea's defense made too many mistakes. In the 73rd minute, Rames failed to control the ball neatly, allowing the opponent to take the ball and the Blues captain pulled down the opponent, leading to a second yellow card and a dismissal.

With only 10 men left, Chelsea could not attack. The away team conceded the fourth goal in the 83rd minute when the defense was still "sleepy", Gordon got down to receive the ball and skillfully shot diagonally to seal a 4-1 victory for the home team.

Newcastle has 23 points after 13 rounds, currently ranked 6th. Chelsea is still ranked 10th with 16 points, the gap between The Blues and the top of the table is 14 points.
