"Over the past 24 hours, air defense forces have shot down 12 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and 1 HARM anti-radiation missile. They also destroyed 16 Ukrainian UAVs," TASS news agency quoted Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov on March 13.
The HIMARS "God of Fire" full name is High Mobility Missile System HIMARS, is a state-of-the-art launch system consisting of multiple lightweight missiles mounted on a truck of the Medium Tactical Vehicle (FMTV); while HARM is an air-to-surface missile system designed to target based on emission signals and radar.

Both weapons are US-made and have been supplied to Ukraine since the conflict broke out.
The Russian Defense Ministry also said they had achieved many victories in the areas of Kupyansk City, Krasny Liman City, Donetsk Region, Kherson... of Ukraine as well as attacked more than 70 artillery units in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the city of Bakhmut remains a "hot spot". Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the future of the country depends on the outcome of the fighting in and around Bakhmut. Both Russia and Ukraine described relentless fighting right inside the city.
According to Reuters, forces from Russia's private military company Wagner are said to have captured the eastern area of Bakhmut City, but have not yet been able to surround it and the Ukrainian side is also fiercely defending this place.
Russia agrees to extend Black Sea grain deal
According to RT , Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin said on March 13 that Russia has no objection to extending the Black Sea grain deal with Ukraine, brokered by the United Nations (UN) since August 2022.

The statement came after talks in Geneva with UN representatives. Russia added that while it was not opposed to extending the agreement beyond its original expiration date of March 18, it would only be for 60 days. Russia has repeatedly criticized the agreement, saying it is not working as intended.
