On November 20, the rain in the East of Gia Lai had decreased compared to the previous day, but many areas were still deeply flooded, traffic was cut off, especially the "flood center" of Quy Nhon Bac.

Lecturers from Quy Nhon College of Technology swam through floodwaters to deliver food to students in the dormitory.
At Quy Nhon College of Technology, the water has receded but there are still areas flooded with over 1.5 meters of water. Students did not have time to prepare necessities, electricity and water were interrupted, daily life was completely disrupted. The gratitude day became a "flood fight" right in the heart of the school.
Faced with this situation, teachers put aside all their personal plans. They became "special couriers", wading through water and mud, delivering boxes of noodles, drinking water, and food to students.
Not only receiving support from the government and the school, many teachers also cook food themselves, divide it into hot lunch boxes and loaves of bread, and bring it to the dormitory. In the cold rain, the image of teachers wearing makeshift raincoats, holding boxes of food floating on the water but still smiling to reassure students makes anyone who witnesses it feel the boundless love.
According to Ms. Ho Thi Thu Hien, lecturer of the Faculty of Tourism and Services, the school has prepared about 300 lunch boxes, 300 loaves of bread, 50 boxes of instant noodles and many boxes of drinking water. "If the school is still flooded, we will continue to cook more meals to ensure that the children have enough food during the time the flood has not receded" - Ms. Hien shared.
On November 20 this year, there were no flowers or gifts, but teachers and students still appreciated it. In the eyes of students, the image of teachers in raincoats, wading through water to bring food and water but still smiling became a symbol of love and responsibility.
"Seeing our teachers wade through the water to bring us food warmed our hearts. While we were scared and confused by the flood, our teachers still cared and looked after us in every little detail. I will never forget that image," said Nguyen Thi Lan, a student at the school.

Food is prepared by lecturers of Quy Nhon College of Technology and delivered to students in the dormitory.
Teacher Pham Van Tuong said: "This day is unforgettable. Seeing the children safe and cared for makes us feel the happiest and proudest. Flowers may wither, wishes may fade, but the care in times of danger will be engraved in everyone's hearts."
Amidst the rainy and flood days, Quy Nhon College of Technology is still a place where students feel protected, warm and connected. On November 20 this year, the meaning of gratitude is raised to a new level: not in words or flowers in vases, but in every action, every heart of teachers for students.
