STEAM Festival is where young technology talents shine

The event aims to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team (May 15, 1941 - May 15, 2023), implementing Program 07 of the Hanoi Party Committee on promoting the development of science and technology and innovation in the city for the period 2021-2025.

The STEAM Festival is a place for young technology talents, the future owners of the Capital and the country, to shine, creating a practical and meaningful technology playground for the capital's youth, aiming to prepare high-quality young human resources, contributing to the development of the digital economy and digital society of the Capital and the country, ready for the opportunities and challenges of the 4th Industrial Revolution in the spirit of Resolution 25 of the Politburo .

The program received the attention and participation of the leaders of the Central Youth Union, the City Party Committee, the Hanoi People's Committee and the Departments, Boards and branches that are members of the Steering Committee of Program 07 of the City Party Committee, along with leaders, mass organizations, the Board of Directors, teachers inside and outside Nguyen Sieu School. In addition, according to the plan, the event will also attract the participation of representatives of more than 40 secondary and high schools and more than 700 students in Hanoi, along with press and media agencies.

At the event, the contest "Xproject Secondary School Digital Citizen Challenge" was officially launched, promising to be attractive and novel: the first Technology Project contest on a City scale, aiming to become an annual National competition, through creating practical technology products to help develop technology capacity for students, with the mission that everyone in the young generation can create technology products.

Coming to the Contest, students can create their own technology products, thereby helping to develop technological capacity for future digital citizens.

In the context of digital transformation covering all fields in Vietnam and around the world, the Xproject Competition becomes a useful playground for secondary school students to help the young generation of Vietnam take the lead and develop new global languages ​​and skills.

The City-level STEAM Festival and the launch of the "Xproject Secondary School Digital Citizen Challenge" contest are considered strategic and important tasks, receiving special attention from all levels and sectors to promote the early start-up movement to create a comprehensive development environment for students and enhance the role of young intellectuals, creating conditions for building a start-up nation and sustainable development.

Within the framework of the Festival, students of Nguyen Sieu Secondary and High School will demonstrate technologies developed by students, serving as models for the contest "Digital Citizenship Challenge for Secondary School Xproject" launched to 100% of secondary schools in 30 districts in Hanoi, and at the same time launch Nguyen Sieu Startup Club - the first member of the Capital HUB Network of Startup Clubs for Innovation and Digital Transformation, aiming to spread the values ​​of innovation.
