Chau Thanh Commune: Ready to receive administrative procedures from people on July 1

(ABO) Along with people across the country, people of Chau Thanh commune, Dong Thap province excitedly welcomed the Announcement Ceremony of the Resolution and Decision of the Central and local governments on merging provincial and commune-level administrative units, ending the operation of district-level administrative units, establishing Party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces, communes, and wards.

Chau Thanh commune in Dong Thap province was established by merging Tan Hiep, Long An, and Than Cuu Nghia communes of the former Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province. The new Chau Thanh commune has a total area of ​​24.28 ^km² and a population of 57,070 people. The commune has many favorable conditions for developing agricultural and commercial-service economies .

The Chau Thanh Commune Party Committee was established with 33 Executive Committee members, 11 Standing Committee members, and 5 Inspection Committee members. Comrade Van Thi Tuyet, a member of the District Party Committee Standing Committee and former Secretary of the Tan Hiep Town Party Committee in Chau Thanh District, now holds the position of Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of the newly established Chau Thanh Commune.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Van expressed her hope that the new provincial and commune leaders would continue to lead the province and locality to strong development in the coming time.

The new leadership of Chau Thanh commune has brought many new hopes to the people in the commune. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Van, a resident of Tan Phong hamlet, Chau Thanh commune: “Today, I am very excited to watch the announcement ceremony at the new Chau Thanh commune location. Through this, I place great trust in the new provincial leadership with young, capable, and highly qualified comrades who will lead the new Dong Thap province to continue developing even more strongly based on the existing foundation of the former Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces.”

Along with that, I also have high expectations for the new leaders of Chau Thanh commune, many of whom are young, to continue to dedicate themselves and serve the people well, especially in the field of administrative reform, creating favorable conditions for people to develop economically and socially in the new commune now that the development space has been expanded.”

According to Nguyen Thi Kim Phung, Vice Chairman of the Chau Thanh Commune People's Committee, the commune's Public Administrative Service Center is ready to receive applications from citizens starting July 1, 2025.

To better serve the people, the newly appointed leaders of Chau Thanh Commune People's Committee have proactively prepared equipment and facilities to meet the administrative procedure needs of the people in the commune at the Public Administrative Service Center (formerly the document reception and return department of Chau Thanh District People's Committee). Currently, the Commune People's Committee has completed the installation of computers, scanners, network connections, and software... ready to serve the people on July 1, 2025.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung, Vice Chairman of the Chau Thanh Commune People's Committee, the Commune People's Committee has completed the construction of the Public Administrative Service Center. The Commune People's Committee has finalized the assignment of civil servants to 5 counters for receiving applications from citizens starting July 1, 2025. The specialized departments of the Commune People's Committee have prepared offices, nameplates, and decorations, as well as assigned specific tasks to each department, civil servant, and specialist, ready to carry out their duties.

"In taking on this new role at the local level, I, along with other officials and staff of the People's Committee of Chau Thanh commune, am aware that we must continue to improve and develop ourselves further in order to better serve the people in handling administrative procedures, as well as contributing to the socio-economic development of the newly established Chau Thanh commune," said Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Phung.
