The Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the city's Examination Council for the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year is completing the final stages of marking the exam. The work of combining admission scores for each candidate and preparing the exam result report for each candidate is also being urgently implemented.

According to the plan, all day on July 4, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will hold a meeting to review the admission scores for grade 10 of each public high school, school year 2025 - 2026.
Previously, Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that it is expected that from July 4 to 6, the exam scores will be announced at the same time as the admission scores for grade 10 next school year.
This is a big change, because in previous years, Hanoi often announced the exam scores before announcing the benchmark scores. The calculation of benchmark scores for non-specialized high schools this year has also been significantly adjusted, in which the scores for math, literature, and foreign languages are all calculated with a coefficient of 1, not multiplied by the coefficients for literature and math as in previous years.
In order to ensure transparency in the exam marking process, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has announced the exam questions and answers for the subjects of this year's entrance exam for non-specialized public high schools.
Regarding the prediction of the benchmark score, some opinions say that this year's exam is closer and "easier" so the benchmark score may increase slightly. In addition, the calculation of foreign language scores on par with the other two subjects may increase the benchmark score at top schools because this is a strong subject for students in inner-city areas.
Meanwhile, the opinion of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and high school principals is that the benchmark score depends partly on the difficulty of the exam, the teaching quality of each "batch" of junior high school graduates, and the quota and "competition ratio" of each school each year...
