Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that this year, exam scores and benchmark scores will be announced at the same time to reduce parents' waiting and anxiety.
"Currently, the Department cannot predict whether the benchmark score will be high or low. The announcement of scores will have to be checked very carefully, there will be no deviation. In particular, the grading will be carried out according to the rules, there will be no loose or tight grading," Mr. Cuong affirmed.
Answering the question of Dan Tri reporter about whether there is a situation of scoring based on inspiration in the literature exam, a member participating in the exam scoring said that there are specific instructions for scoring the literature exam according to the prescribed framework. If the candidate achieves a certain level of knowledge, they will be scored at that level.
According to Ms. Van Thuy Duong, Vice Principal of Luong The Vinh High School, Hanoi, based on the scores that students compared and reported to teachers, the predicted standard score to enter top schools this year is around 25.5-26 points.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Tung, Principal of Lomonosov High School, commented that this year Hanoi still maintains the same stability in benchmark scores as in previous years.
“With the level of differentiation of the exam questions this year and the new scoring method, I think that the top schools will maintain the same average standard score as every year. At the lower-ranked schools, because Hanoi’s quota increased by 5,000, I think the standard score will be a little lower,” said Mr. Tung.
The entrance exam for grade 10 of public non-specialized high schools for the 2025-2026 school year in the city will take place on June 7-8.
