Ho Chi Minh City honors 88 valedictorians, 5 people achieved maximum score

(NLDO) - In 2025, the "Honoring Valedictorians" program will honor 88 valedictorians who passed the entrance exam and graduated.

On the afternoon of November 21, the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Student Support Center of Ho Chi Minh City to organize the program "Honoring the valedictorians" in 2025 at the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, congratulated and commended the achievements of the valedictorians.

After the administrative reorganization, Ho Chi Minh City has increased its student population, with more than 700,000 high school students and more than 650,000 university students. This is an advantage for the city in terms of abundant and high-quality human resources, meeting the development needs in the coming period.

Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Ngo Minh Hai awarded certificates of merit to the valedictorians.

This is an important human resource to introduce to participate in Project 01 of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - Project on supporting and developing young talents and future leaders of the city for the period 2020 - 2035.

In 2025, the “Honoring Valedictorians” program will select and honor 88 valedictorians. Of these, 40 valedictorians will be admitted to universities, colleges, academies, and junior colleges with excellent academic achievements, all with admission scores of 26 or higher (25 or higher for college students).

Of which, 2 valedictorians achieved a perfect score of 30 (not including priority points), 23 valedictorians achieved high results in excellent student exams, Olympic exams of all levels; 8 people are exemplary students, 3-good students of the school and the city; 1 valedictorian is a young party member...

The program honors students who have excellent academic and training achievements, proactively approach and adapt well to new conditions and circumstances.

Among the 48 valedictorians who graduated with many achievements, 40 bachelors graduated with honors, 4 valedictorians were party members, 27 were union officials; 33 bachelors won the "5 Good Students" award at all levels or the January Star award... Of which, 3 valedictorians achieved a perfect graduation score of 4.0/4.0

2025 is the 12th consecutive year that the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Student Association and the City Student Support Center have organized the program "Honoring Valedictorians".

To date, the program has honored 957 outstanding new students and graduates. Of these, 467 were admitted valedictorians, 490 graduated valedictorians (200 students were ranked excellent).
