Sharing with Thanh Nien after finishing the final elective high school graduation exam at Le Loi Secondary School (HCMC), many candidates said they would take a short break and then continue to "get into the groove" of studying. Among them, Lam Ngoc Cat Vuong, a student at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (HCMC), shared that he would start learning a new language, Japanese, after "having a great time."
"Partly because I like Japanese, but mostly because recently I see that the labor market is saturated, knowing a new language will be more advantageous," the female student expressed her opinion.
With a desire to study architecture at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Le Vo Gia Hoa, a student at the same school, said he will register to learn more graphic design skills. "Because I have a foundation in 2D design, I want to learn more advanced skills such as blender (3D design) and motion (motion design) to serve my studies as well as future projects and jobs," Hoa said.
The male student added that he plans to learn by himself through free online courses first and, if necessary, he will register for more advanced design classes this summer.
"I used to design an identity for the music program at school. This year, I want to learn how to use 3D design software to create a creative and unique 3D identity. This is also one of the important projects I am pursuing," Hoa shared.

Nguyen Ngoc Nha Khue, a student at the same school, said that because she wants to study finance at the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City, she is planning to study specialized English related to economics and finance to gain more knowledge before entering the classroom. This is the foundation to help the female student understand the lessons better.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Hoang Nam, a student at Marie Curie High School (HCMC), plans to learn a new sport to improve his health after days of hard work at school. "I haven't decided which sport yet because I have to invite friends to study and play with me, because playing alone is boring," Nam said.
However, some candidates have identified the coming time as a period of recovery. Do Nguyen Anh Thu, a student at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, said that she had just "sprinted" throughout the 12th grade with a tight schedule from school to center, not to mention the time spent studying for the SAT and high school graduation exams. "Now that the exam is over, I will rest, travel domestically and internationally to regain my lost spirit and energy," Thu excitedly said.
Not only do candidates want to find ways to relieve pressure, but parents also find their own ways to comfort their candidates. At this exam site, as soon as she left the school gate, Phan Ngoc Tuong Vy, a student at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, immediately received a bright bouquet of flowers from her mother along with words of encouragement: "Congratulations Tuong Vy on completing her mission, Mom loves Vy". "I was very surprised and touched. Mom rarely gives me flowers", the female student said.

Vy said that her mother always accompanied her on her journey and did not care about her exam results. "Yesterday it rained heavily, I just got out of school and saw my mother on the other side of the street, soaked, waiting for me. Whether it was a rainy or sunny day, my mother still took me to and from school without complaining. I felt her love not only through this bouquet of flowers but also through her words of encouragement, inquiries and the meals she cooked, and I am very grateful to her for that," Vy shared.
"No matter what the exam results are, I will still be proud of my efforts, especially since I always have my mother by my side," the female student confided.
This year's high school graduation exam had more than 1.1 million candidates participating, an increase of 100,000 candidates compared to last year. According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, it is expected that at 8:00 a.m. on July 16, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam and consider recognizing high school graduation no later than July 18.
