Career counseling day in Hanoi: 300 consulting booths, Dangrangto will come to exchange

The 2025 Admissions and Career Counseling Fair in Hanoi will begin at 7am on Sunday, March 16. Last year, the fair attracted 282 consulting booths - the most in more than a decade in Hanoi. However, this record will be broken.

The 2025 Admissions and Career Counseling Festival is jointly organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Department of Higher Education ( Ministry of Education and Training ), the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, with the support of Vingroup Corporation.

The 2025 Admissions and Career Counseling Fair took place at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology campus (enter Tran Dai Nghia/Giai Phong gate), completely free of charge. The fair attracted nearly 300 consulting booths from more than 100educational and training institutions, and many study abroad consulting centers.

This year is the first year that students take the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program with many changes in the high school graduation exam regulations and university and college admission regulations. Faced with these changes at an important moment, many students and parents cannot help but have concerns and questions.

At the festival, at the general consultation session, 13 members of the advisory board including representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi National University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology... will provide the latest, most complete and accurate information on high school graduation exams and university and college admissions in 2025.

In particular, changes and adjustments related to the first year of 12th grade candidates taking the exam and admission according to the 2018 General Education Program, the Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment exam, and admission to military and police schools will also be shared, analyzed, and specifically advised by experts for parents and students attending.

To encourage the students' spirit at the festival, the organizers invited rapper Tran Hai Dang - Dangrangto, a shining face at Rap Viet season 4 - to perform and interact with the audience right on the main stage of the festival.

300 consulting booths

In addition to the general consultation on the main stage, parents and students will have the opportunity to receive direct and in-depth consultation at nearly 300 separate consultation booths of more than 100 training institutions. Here, universities, colleges, and educational institutions will provide information, documents, and detailed consultation on study programs, tuition fees, scholarships, study conditions, joint training programs, study abroad, etc., thereby opening up many suggestions for parents and students on choosing a major, choosing a school, and choosing a future direction.

Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duy Hai, head of the admissions and career guidance department of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said that Hanoi University of Science and Technology will arrange three consulting and experience areas for parents and students attending the program.

The general consultation area, consisting of eight booths, will be staffed by specialists from the admissions and career guidance department to provide advice and answer questions about the latest admissions information for 2025.

The in-depth consulting area for the school's 65 training programs, especially new majors, "hot" majors such as microchips and semiconductors, artificial intelligence and digital transformation... is arranged in hall C2 and will be directly consulted and answered by teachers who are directors of the training programs...

In particular, this year is also the first year that the festival in Hanoi has featured a psychological counseling - career guidance area led by Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Manh Ha, a psychology - career guidance expert from the University of Education (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

This will be a place to help students discover their own abilities, identify their dreams and orient their future career paths as well as relieve psychological and health problems during exam season.

I am quite confused about choosing a major for myself, not knowing which career is suitable for me. To better define my goals and make the most accurate choice about major and school, this weekend my mother and I will go from Ha Nam to Hanoi to attend the admissions and career counseling day, and directly ask the teachers for advice.
