On the morning of June 10, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the regular meeting of May 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Duc Thien - Deputy Head of Department III, Central Inspection Commission ; along with comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors.
At the meeting, the Provincial Party Standing Committee gave opinions and unanimously approved the policy of establishing Do Lang II Industrial Cluster in Nghi Lam commune, Nghi Loc district, with MKH Nghe An Industrial Cluster Development Joint Stock Company as the investor.
Do Lang II Industrial Park has an area of about 75 hectares with a total investment of about 928.54 billion VND, operating period of 50 years from the date of issuance of the establishment decision.
Do Lang II Industrial Cluster is planned as a multi-industry industrial cluster, prioritizing attracting clean, environmentally friendly industrial projects, ensuring environmental protection and sustainable development, such as: manufacturing and assembling electrical equipment, electronic components; precision mechanics, auxiliary products, garments; production of household appliances, construction materials, production of wooden furniture and interior decoration, phosphate fertilizers.
Invest in the construction of complete and synchronous technical infrastructure works in the industrial cluster in a modern, green and clean direction. Complete and synchronous connection with technical infrastructure works outside the industrial cluster, ensuring the production and business activities of enterprises in the industrial cluster are favorable and stable.
The Provincial Party Standing Committee also agreed on the policy of changing the purpose of using 60 hectares of rice-growing land to establish and invest in the construction of Do Lang II Industrial Cluster in Nghi Lam commune, Nghi Loc district.
According to the expected progress, investment preparation will take place from the second quarter of 2025 to the end of the first quarter of 2026. From the third quarter of 2026 to the end of the third quarter of 2029, investment will be made in building technical infrastructure, completing the industrial cluster and putting it into operation.
Do Lang II Industrial Cluster is part of the industrial cluster development plan in Nghe An province, integrated into the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
The formation and development of Do Lang II Industrial Cluster with a synchronous technical infrastructure system and ensuring environmental sanitation is necessary to prepare land funds to attract small and medium-sized enterprises to serve as satellites for corporations and large enterprises in the Southeast Economic Zone and the North Central Region High-Tech Forestry Zone.
At the same time, it contributes to improving land use efficiency, increasing industrial production value, increasing revenue for the local budget, creating jobs for workers, promoting the development of utilities and services in the surrounding area, and developing the local socio-economy.
Currently, in Nghi Loc district, there are 2 industrial clusters that have been established: Truong Thach Industrial Cluster, with an area of 12.5 hectares, and Nghi Dien Industrial Cluster, with an area of 63.17 hectares. Of which, Truong Thach Industrial Cluster has invested in building technical infrastructure and filled 100% of the area.
Nghi Loc district plays an important role in the socio-economic development of Nghe An province, is an important satellite connecting Vinh city - Cua Lo, so it attracts investment projects to develop industry, speeding up the process of industrialization and modernization.
At the meeting, the Provincial Party Standing Committee also agreed to adjust the MDF fiberboard factory project in Tri Le Industrial Park, Khai Son commune (Anh Son district).
The project name adjustment is Wood Production and Processing Factory. The project objective is to produce wood pellets, interior wood and wood chips on an area of 263,513.66 m2. The project scale is 300,000 tons of wood pellets/year; 200,000 interior wood products/year; 30,000 tons of wood chips/year.
Project implementation progress, from the fourth quarter of 2019 to the third quarter of 2022, compensation, site clearance, and project site leveling will be carried out. From the first quarter of 2022 to the third quarter of 2026, construction of project items, installation of machinery and equipment will be carried out, and by the fourth quarter of 2026, trial operation and putting the entire project into operation.
