* On the afternoon of October 20, in Vinh City, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee on personnel work.
In Decision No. 2196-QD/TU dated October 17, 2023, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee decided to transfer, assign and appoint comrade Nguyen Thi Thom - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Nguyen District to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.

* On the morning of October 20, a delegation of the People's Council of Vientiane Capital, Lao People's Democratic Republic, visited the Kim Lien National Special Historical Relic Site, Nam Dan District, to offer incense and flowers in memory of President Ho Chi Minh .

* Regarding the activities of elected bodies, on the morning of October 20, the Culture - Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting to review draft resolutions of the thematic session (16th session, 18th Provincial People's Council).
The Provincial People's Council's Committee for Culture and Society has reviewed and commented on the Draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council amending Section 1, Appendix 1 issued with Resolution No. 06/HDND dated June 24, 2022 on the capital allocation plan and solutions to mobilize and integrate capital sources to implement the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025 and 2022 in Nghe An province.
* Due to prolonged tax debt, Nghe An Tax Department proposed to revoke business registration certificates of many enterprises.
Based on the situation of tax payment obligations of enterprises, from October 19, Nghe An Tax Department sent a dispatch requesting the Department of Planning and Investment to revoke the business registration certificates of 4 enterprises with tax arrears.
* The component project of Nghi Son - Dien Chau section investment and construction with a length of 50 km, passing through Thanh Hoa (6.5 km) and Nghe An (43.5 km) provinces, put into operation, has shortened the travel time from Nghe An to Hanoi to 3.5 hours, at the same time opening up new development space for Nghe An.

* African swine fever has recurred strongly in Dien Chau district since the beginning of the year. There are still 10 communes with the disease, and the number of pigs that must be destroyed is increasing.
According to information from the Dien Chau District Agricultural Service Center, since the beginning of 2023, African swine fever has re-emerged in 16 communes. As of October 20, there are still 10 communes with the epidemic: Dien Thai, Dien Hoa, Dien Nguyen, Minh Chau, Dien Dong, Dien Ky, Dien Loi, Dien Phuc, Dien Quang and Dien Yen.
