Ma Van Quan is the pride of Chau Quan village, Binh An commune (Lam Binh). Ma Van Quan is called "young artist" by the Tay people here because of his talent in singing Then ancient songs. This 8x guy can sing hundreds of Then ancient melodies and has won many high prizes at regional and national art festivals.
Typically, in 2012, he participated in the 4th National Then Singing Festival in Lang Son and won the Gold Medal with the Then singing performance “Buddha pretends to be dead”. In 2013, he won the Second Prize at the Vietnam Folk Song Festival in the Northern mountainous region with the ancient Then song “Loi Nang Nhin”. In 2014, he won the Special Prize at the 1st National Performance Festival with the Then singing performance “The Legend of 12 Suns”…
Mr. Quan has made it his “mission” to teach Then singing, especially ancient Then singing. Living in Binh An commune, regardless of day or night, he is always ready to teach small classes for Then lovers from all over the district. He owns two Youtube channels, "Dan tinh Chu Thach" and "Chu Thach Official". One channel specializes in teaching how to play the Tinh lute from basic to advanced levels and the other channel posts his performances. The total number of subscribers to the two channels is over 11,000 people. The impressive yet simple and rustic videos of playing the Tinh lute and singing Then include videos such as: "Duong ve ban em", "Ban nong ton Xuan", "Loi cay dan tinh" reaching 600 thousand views.
Especially to help more people access Then in the digital age. Chu Van Thach also researched and created more than 400 beat songs (music with separated lyrics) for karaoke singing of Then songs. Among them are many ancient Then songs that attract many Then lovers to respond.
Mr. Chu Van Thach is a youtuber who teaches ancient Then through social networks.
Mr. Thach shared that now many people can sing Then by themselves with sound systems from professional to simple and compact, right at home. And so Then becomes closer to everyone, to every home!
With his natural talent, Chu Van Thach finds every way to spread Then Co. In recent years, he has had the honor of going abroad with the actors of the Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe to perform Then Co in Korea and China. Artist Thach also regularly goes to tea rooms and ethnic music parties in Hanoi to perform and exchange musical instruments with other ethnic groups in the world.

Chu Van Thach confidently said that preserving traditional music in the 4.0 era means knowing how to exchange, learn, and promote to friends from all over the world so that the beauty of our national culture can be integrated and not dissolved in the new era.
Not only is she a Then teacher in the village, Nguyen Thi Canh is also an active Then girl who knows how to spread ancient Then on social networks in a very vibrant way. The 9x girl created a Youtube channel, a Facebook Fanpage, named Nang Then. Canh said, she wants to give herself the responsibility of being a Then girl. In addition, Canh also actively connects with artisans who make Tinh instruments and Tay costumes to promote, introduce, and connect with customers. Artisan Tham Ngoc Kien shared: “Canh is an active girl who is passionate about spreading ancient Then and promoting and introducing many customers to buy Tinh instruments. That is also a way to help Then live forever in the community.”
