Ho Chi Minh City Dance Artists Association has achieved many successes in 2023

On the evening of December 14, in a warm and sublime atmosphere to celebrate the new achievements of the Ho Chi Minh City Dance Artists Association, at the Children's House of the city named after Uncle Ho, the Organizing Committee awarded the dance art works of 2023. In which, famous dancers such as: Nguyen Phuc Hung, Ta Thuy Chi, Sung A Lung won the A prize.

A large audience enjoyed the excellent works that were elaborately and vividly staged, showing the development in staging thinking and aiming for unique sublimation in the creativity of the dancers.

Youthfulness, liveliness, and breath of life were used effectively and impressively in the 2023 Dance works.

Experts commented that the three A prizes were awarded to three works: "Sunset" (choreographer: Nguyen Phuc Hung), "Fog Viewing Point" (choreographer: Ta Thuy Chi) and "Khia Sua" (choreographer: Sung A Lung) as a new step showing the outstanding creative efforts of the dancers, affirming the powerful inheritance of the previous generation of dancers.

Mr. Le Nguyen Hieu - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Dance Artists Association - said that this is an opportunity to review a process of striving for artistic work in 2023. The Ho Chi Minh City Dance Artists Association has selected the works that have been considered for awards (milestone from October 2022 to December 2023), thereby affirming the advancement of dance artists with the mindset of renewing works with youthfulness, liveliness and above all, a sense of responsibility for the country's literature and art.

The three A-prize winning works received high scores because they had good ideas, new staging, highlights and created opportunities for dancers to maximize their performance potential compared to other works. This year, the highly awarded choreographers brought to their works the perspective of youth with the desire to always innovate in staging.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Dance Artists Association performed 7 dance works invested by the association in 2023. These are works created after organizing field trips for members and resulted in many new compositions, which were highly appreciated such as: "Letter to the Future" (script, choreography: Ha Thanh Hau); "Downwind and Flow" (script, director: Nguyen Phuc Hung - Nguyen Phuc Hai); "Laughing Forest" (script: Pham Ngoc Phat, choreographers: Mai Trong Phuoc, Bui Van Dien, Vu Minh Tan), "Thong Nhat Tailor" (script: Ha Thanh Hau, choreographers: Hoang Nam, Anh Khoa, Minh Tuan), "Night Pestle Sound" (script, choreographer: Le Van Hai)...

Including 2 works with modern themes: "Carrying the New Day" (script: Phan Gia Suon, choreographers: Phan Gia Suon, Nguyen Huynh Nhu) and "Tevada Chnam Thmay" (script: Nguyen Khoi Nguyen, Thach Moly Dana, choreographer: Tran Van Hiep).

In addition to the three A prizes, the Organizing Committee awarded three B prizes to the works: "The sound of the pestle at night" (choreographer: Le Van Hai), "Afternoon meal" (choreographer: Ha Thanh Hau), "The burden of a new day" (choreographer: Phan Gia Suon, Nguyen Huynh Nhu). Three C prizes: "Xa-dam vao hoi" (choreographer: Vu Minh Tan), "Number 3" (choreographer: Nguyen Huynh Nhu, Tieu Vinh Thinh), "Nha tailor Thong Nhat" (choreographer: Hoang Nam, Anh Khoa, Minh Tuan).

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Dance Artists Association, in 2022 the Dance industry made great strides, successfully completing its assigned tasks.

Experts say that this year, many new topics have been invested in and developed, showing more clearly the positivity of today's young artists in the Dance industry.

The method of composing, organizing the work, and the ability to perform selectively and creatively create an increasingly attractive dance art space, completely attracting the attention of the audience.

In addition, the music has been composed and selected very delicately, combining other forms such as: theater, painting, street art, circus... which is a trend that many authors choose, bringing a new look to the Dance industry.
