Exciting art programs celebrating National Day
Never before have high-end art programs been organized as densely as these days. Following “Under the Glorious Flag” and “Fatherland in the Heart,” on the evening of August 15, the art program “ Hanoi - From the Historic Autumn of 1945” took place at the August Revolution Square, recording important historical moments over the past 80 years, since the success of the August Revolution. The audience relived the heroic atmosphere of the country through famous songs: Guerrilla Song (Do Nhuan), Call of Youth (Luu Huu Phuoc), Destroy Fascism (Nguyen Dinh Thi), Together We Go Red Soldiers (Dinh Nhu); until the song Eighteenth of August (Xuan Oanh), and the climax was the Choir of the Marching Soldiers (Van Cao) filled with pride and emotion.

The concert “Proud to be Vietnamese” on the night of August 17 at My Dinh National Stadium is not only a simple artistic event but also an activity with profound political and ideological significance, contributing to spreading cultural, historical and moral values of “When drinking water, remember its source” to all classes of people, especially the young generation. The program is a bridge connecting millions of Vietnamese hearts, evoking patriotism, national pride and solidarity in every Vietnamese person.

The political art program "Golden Opportunity" on the night of August 22 connecting 3 points: Hanoi Flag Tower - a symbol of the spirit of independence, Ngo Mon Square (Hue) - a place connecting the past with the present and Nha Rong Wharf (HCMC) - the place where Uncle Ho's journey of national liberation began, is an attractive visual and audio art feast.

Ho Guom Theater lit up with the political art program "Independence Star" with the theme "For a prosperous Vietnam", structured with 3 chapters, 15 performances with many art genres: singing-dancing-music-commentary, combining sound, light, images with Hologram technology, laser, 3D LED... both historical and traditional, and combining the creative colors of contemporary art technology. The program brought the audience heroic and calm moments with pride, gratitude with both faith and aspiration to rise up strongly to join hands to build the country. That aspiration has been fueling the traditional flame for today's generations to continue to overcome difficulties and challenges, unite, build and protect our country to become increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized and happy.
The appeal of political art
It was touching when My Dinh National Stadium was dyed red with the national flag of 50,000 spectators watching the program “Fatherland in the heart” on the night of August 10. Social networks were flooded with images, videos and emotional shares about the program. Especially with the song “Tien Quan Ca” - a song that has long been not only the national anthem of the country, but also a symbol of national unity. The resonance between music and national spirit in the chorus at the program continued to affirm the immortal value of “Tien Quan Ca” as a sacred symbol connecting millions of patriotic hearts of the Vietnamese people.
The success of “Fatherland in the Heart” is to recreate the important historical milestones of the country associated with the image of the red flag with yellow star, the sacred symbol of patriotism and national aspiration. Each performance brought musical experiences with many levels of emotions, awakening pride in the Fatherland. The investment in modern performance technology: V-shaped images, large screens, brilliant fireworks... created resonance to sublimate the audience's emotions.
Patriotism does not need to be forced and cannot be forced. Patriotism only needs the opportunity to burn. Because for each person, the Fatherland is always in the heart. Majestic, youthful, vibrant, and inspiring music events are doing that. When political art programs are supported by the media, they will become trends on digital platforms and inspire the participation of young people, helping messages about the Fatherland and the nation spread strongly. It is the young audience that makes producers realize this and will continue to replicate national concerts on a large scale.
The role of the State in creating cultural space

Unlike many years ago, large-scale music programs were often actively organized by private enterprises or artists, with commercial elements or the artists' personal imprint, this year, these events were mostly organized by state agencies and local authorities, with "national" concerts attracting tens of thousands of live audiences and millions of viewers on television, digital platforms, and social networks. That shows the open and enthusiastic participation of management agencies in the role of leading and orienting top cultural and artistic events.
While political art programs go beyond the framework of illustrating major commemorative events that usually take place in halls with a small number of guests, national concerts held outdoors attracting tens of thousands of spectators have made political messages softer and closer to people, especially young audiences.
This shows that political art, if properly invested, carefully staged and well communicated, can completely combine artistic and ideological elements with entertainment needs and economic value. National concerts are demonstrating the role of state agencies and local authorities in creating professional art spaces, contributing to promoting the development of the cultural industry.
Looking back from the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification on April 30, a series of political art programs honoring revolutionary music with many innovations such as "North-South Promise", recreating the two banks of Hien Luong right at My Dinh National Stadium; "Glory of the People's Public Security of Vietnam" with a series of activities from gala music nights, exhibitions, and real-life experiences; "Spring of Reunification" attracting tens of thousands of viewers... have made the phrase "national concert" a trend and a keyword searched on many digital platforms.
Or the program “You are Ho Chi Minh” celebrating the 135th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birthday also left a memorable artistic mark, when combining many art forms such as music, poetry, dance, stage performance and projection. In those programs, the most special moment is always the performance “Tien Quan Ca” - where millions of Vietnamese hearts beat as one.
With the strong development of the performance industry, tens of thousands of audiences flock to My Dinh National Stadium or large stages in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City... not to wait for entertainment stars, but to linger in historical memories, praise the journey to freedom, independence and the aspiration for national development; to sing revolutionary songs that have lasted through the years.
When art is placed in the right place, historical values are not only conveyed but also inspired, strongly arousing patriotism and national pride. At the same time, it opens up the possibility of creating a space for the development of cultural industries from agencies, businesses and the State./.
