Tan Ky commune evacuates hundreds of households from flood-affected areas.
Following Typhoon No. 5, the Con River unexpectedly rose, causing flooding in residential areas of Tan Ky commune (Nghe An province). Local authorities mobilized forces to evacuate 291 households to safe locations.

Photo: Bong Mai Mr. Le Viet Quy, Vice Chairman of Tan Ky Commune People's Committee, said: On August 27, the commune mobilized forces to evacuate 291 households to safe areas. This morning (August 28), the commune continued to mobilize forces, including 4 boats, to distribute essential supplies and water to residents in the isolated hamlets.
