After storm No. 5, the water level of the Con River suddenly rose, causing flooding in residential areas in Tan Ky Commune (Nghe An). Local authorities mobilized forces to evacuate 291 households to safety.

Mr. Le Viet Quy - Vice Chairman of Tan Ky Commune People's Committee said: On August 27, the commune mobilized forces to evacuate 291 households to safety. This morning (August 28), the commune continued to mobilize forces including 4 boats to go to isolated hamlets to supply necessities and water to the people.
