Some of the barrier posts are not strong enough to withstand the impact of external factors.
The CMT8 road upgrade project has a length of 4,474m, a roadbed width of 27m, including 2 lanes for cars, 2 lanes for mixed traffic, and 2 sidewalks, from Quan Bridge to Dien Bien Phu Street.
To date, the project has completed several items such as: relocating all ornamental plants on the median strip of CMT8 road to another location; trimming weeds and pruning the branches of the Dipterocarpus and Shorea trees planted on both sides of CMT8 road; relocating the lighting system in the middle of CMT8 road to the roadside; and installing a wastewater drainage system to transfer domestic wastewater to the Tan Ninh Ward Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Many sections of the median strip on CMT8 road have been completely removed, and the construction unit has laid layers of large stones, fine stones, and cement concrete over the old median strip, creating a clear and convenient surface for vehicles to use.
Several other sections of the median strip are currently being removed during construction. The construction unit has erected temporary barriers using corrugated iron and iron frames to create temporary traffic lanes.

The warning light is not working.
For sections of the median strip where the subgrade has been completed, the contractor installs movable median barriers consisting of multiple iron posts on a concrete base, connected by ropes for strung together.
In front of other sections of the median strip that are under construction or have had their foundations completed, the contractor installs barriers, triangular, reflective signs with the message "Slow Down" and a construction site symbol, and also installs some flashing lights that operate at night to warn road users.
However, CMT8 Street is the central traffic route of Tan Ninh ward, with a high volume of people and vehicles using it daily. Some of the movable traffic dividers are not sturdy enough to withstand the impact of storms or collisions with vehicles, leading to them falling onto the road surface.

Warning lights emit a weak light at night.
On the other hand, flashing warning lights emit a weak light at night, insufficient for road users to notice from a safe distance. Some warning lights even malfunction, causing drivers to only become aware of them when they are close to the vehicle.
The aforementioned items inadvertently become obstacles on the road, posing a potential risk of accidents for road users. In fact, traffic accidents have occurred at locations with barriers and signs on CMT8 road.

There have been traffic accidents at the location with barriers and signs on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street.
According to the plan, the CMT8 road renovation project will continue with many items, such as: removing the remaining median strips; replacing some existing traffic signal poles with new ones; replacing sidewalk tiles and curb stones; constructing access ramps for people with disabilities. At the same time, some slow-growing trees on both sides of the road will be replaced; lane markings, pedestrian crossings, signs, markers, and kilometer markers will also be designed and constructed according to the National Standard on Road Traffic Signaling.

The project to renovate Cach Mang Thang Tam Street is still under construction with many remaining items.
Hopefully, during the construction of the remaining sections, the contractors will pay more attention to ensuring the safety of people and vehicles participating in traffic.
