The Xip Xi Tet ceremony is to thank the buffalo for helping farmers plow, a hard and tiring job. At the same time, it is to remember the children who directly herd and care for the buffalo; to offer offerings to ancestors and gods to ask for their help in looking after the fields and fields, and to pray for good crops and for the people to be well-fed and happy.
