Ngoc Trinh has been recommended for prosecution.

On January 6th, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency (PC01 Department) issued its conclusion on the case, recommending the prosecution of Tran Thi Ngoc Trinh (34 years old, residing in District 7) and Tran Xuan Dong (36 years old, residing in District 4) for the crime of disturbing public order, under Article 318 of the Penal Code.

In addition, Dong has been recommended for prosecution for the crime of using forged documents of an organization, under Article 341 of the Penal Code.

According to the police, during questioning, Ngoc Trinh and Tran Xuan Dong acknowledged their illegal actions and expressed their desire for leniency from the law.

Previously, on October 19, 2023, the PC01 Department initiated a criminal case and indicted Ngoc Trinh and Tran Xuan Dong.

According to the investigating agency, Trinh did not have an A2 driver's license but still organized and carried out the operation of large-displacement motorcycles with dangerous and offensive driving maneuvers with Dong.

Both of them also organized the filming, editing, and posting of the clips on social media, causing negative impacts and adversely affecting security and order in cyberspace.

On October 8, 2023, a video was posted on social media showing model Ngoc Trinh riding a motorbike in the Thu Thiem tunnel area. She performed dangerous maneuvers such as sitting with both legs to one side and even spreading both arms while the motorbike was traveling at high speed.

Many people subsequently left negative comments, arguing that Ngoc Trinh's actions could inspire others to imitate her, potentially jeopardizing traffic safety.

Following the post on social media, the authorities of Thu Thiem ward and the Traffic Police and Public Order Team of Thu Duc City Police Department launched an investigation.

The Thu Duc City Police, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Police Traffic Department, subsequently worked with and issued administrative violation reports against Ngoc Trinh and Tran Xuan Dong for a series of violations, and temporarily seized two motorcycles.
