The village of Aceredo reappears with many damaged items after the Alto Lindoso reservoir in Spain ran out of water.
The Alto Lindoso reservoir was created in 1992, forcing the residents of the village of Aceredo to evacuate.
At that time, the village located on the border of Spain and Portugal was home to 70 houses and 120 residents.
That was also the time when protests and even a 10-day hunger strike were held by the local people when they had to leave their homeland.
The village gradually sank under the reservoir, many of them thought they would never see the village again.
In 2022, two consecutive months of drought and no rain caused the water level in the reservoir to only be about 15%.
That was also the time when the "ghost village" Aceredo suddenly appeared with strange gray ruins that proved to be especially attractive to adventurous tourists .
Tourists have flocked to the village to see with their own eyes and inspect each house that has been "missing" for more than three decades.
Walking through the muddy streets, visitors can admire many collapsed houses between brick and wooden walls.
The scene that unfolded was like watching a sad movie in slow motion.
For those who have been attached to the village, when looking back at the old scenery after many years, it is inevitable that there will be mixed emotions.
