Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has launched a program to reduce train ticket prices by up to 40% for passengers who have contributed to the revolution on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Accordingly, the subjects of application include: War invalids, people enjoying policies such as war invalids, sick soldiers, veterans and relatives of people with revolutionary contributions.
Passengers buy train tickets from April 24 to May 9, 2025. Tickets are sold directly at railway stations, not available for online purchase.
Passengers who have rendered service to the revolution and their relatives who have rendered service to the revolution will receive a 40% discount on train tickets during the April 30 holiday (Photo: illustration).
When buying tickets, passengers must bring documents confirming their priority status when buying tickets and when boarding the train. Specifically: For passengers who are war invalids, sick soldiers, or people receiving policies like war invalids, they must have a CCCD/ID card with a War invalids card, a sick soldier card, a card for people receiving policies like war invalids or a Decision to issue a certificate of war invalids, sick soldiers, or people receiving policies like war invalids.
Passengers who are veterans must have a CCCD/ID card along with one of the following documents: Confirmation paper from the military agency or the People's Committee of the commune, ward or town where the veteran resides; Confirmation paper from the agency, organization or unit where the veteran works; Membership card of the veterans association;
Passengers who are relatives of people with revolutionary contributions must have a CCCD/ID card along with one of the following documents: Certificate of relatives of people with revolutionary contributions from the workplace or the People's Committee of the ward, commune or town where they reside; Certificate of merit or confirmation documents of people with revolutionary contributions and household registration book (original or notarized copy) or residence information via VNeID.
The Railway Transport Joint Stock Company also noted that if the passenger's identification documents contain information that does not match the information on the discount ticket, the ticket will be considered invalid.
