Lieutenant Colonel Tuan was honored to receive a certificate of commendation from the Hue City Border Guard Command and was recommended for a certificate of merit from the Border Guard Command Headquarters during the summary of 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016, of the Politburo on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.

For the people of Hong Thuong commune, Lieutenant Colonel Tuan (a Pa Co ethnic minority) is like a son of the village, sharing its worries and joys. Ms. Ho Thi Thao, head of Can Tom village, said: "For many years, Lieutenant Colonel Tuan's footsteps have left their mark throughout the villages, allowing him to be close to the people, listen to their difficulties, shortages, and aspirations. Lieutenant Colonel Tuan pays special attention to poor, near-poor, and extremely disadvantaged households, providing practical advice and suggestions that contribute to the local government's effective implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; and deploying appropriate and effective economic development models..."

“Over the years, Lieutenant Colonel Le Anh Tuan, together with his comrades in the Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Hong Thuong commune, has demonstrated high unity and cohesion, effectively carrying out the local political tasks, developing socio-economic conditions, achieving sustainable poverty reduction, maintaining and strengthening national defense and security, and managing and protecting national border security and sovereignty ,” shared Lieutenant Colonel Le Hong Tuyen, Head of Political Affairs of the City Border Guard Command.

Lieutenant Colonel Tuan, along with his team, focused on leadership and direction, proposing solutions to boost economic growth and shift the economic structure in conjunction with agricultural restructuring towards commodity production; he also proposed many effective solutions to promote national target programs on the new rural development program, the sustainable poverty reduction program, and the socio-economic development program for ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

In 2019, when Lieutenant Colonel Tuan took up his duties in Hong Thuong commune, the percentage of poor and near-poor households was high. However, by the end of 2024, the percentage of poor and near-poor households had decreased sharply (poor households were below 5%, near-poor households were below 12%), meeting the criteria of a new rural commune.

Implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, by 2024, over 220 houses had been completed in the commune; the sweat, dedication, and efforts of the officers and soldiers of the Quang Nham Border Guard Post contributed immeasurably. Four houses were fully funded by the City Border Guard, totaling nearly 360 million VND. Hong Thuong commune is continuing to eliminate 10 more temporary houses, affirming the responsibility of the local government and the Border Guard force, and building trust among the people.

As a strong "bridge" between the local authorities and the Border Guard, Lieutenant Colonel Le Anh Tuan proactively advised the local Party committee and government to coordinate with the Quang Nham Border Guard Station to direct and promote widespread propaganda among the people about their responsibility in participating in protecting the border and national boundary markers.

Over the past year, the people have joined the officers and soldiers of the Quang Nham Border Guard Station in patrolling and protecting the border and boundary markers, with nearly 25,000 people participating; providing many valuable sources of information to serve the command and direction of national border protection and maintaining political security and social order in the area.

We are confident that, with his extensive experience as a Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and his responsibility and dedication to the people and the border region, Lieutenant Colonel Tuan will continue to successfully fulfill all his duties,” said Lieutenant Colonel Cao Chi Luyen, Deputy Head of Political Affairs of the City Border Guard Command.
