People swing, ignore signs prohibiting entry to dangerous subsidence dike in Hanoi

Báo Dân ViệtBáo Dân Việt07/11/2024

The government has posted signs prohibiting and warning of dangerous landslides, but many motorcyclists still deliberately break the fence and enter Yen Nghia dike ( Hanoi ), an area where the dike is currently suffering from serious subsidence.

At the intersection with Highway 6, due to the narrow road, traffic jams often occur on this dike road. The cross-section of the dike road is quite narrow, the road surface is rough, with many potholes, posing a high risk of traffic safety.

According to local residents, the fact that many heavy-duty vehicles travel through this dike every day is one of the reasons why the dike is deteriorating so quickly.
