An unnamed man, around 30 years old, from Russia has been suffering from excruciating pain for 3 years due to a horn growing out of the back of his head.

He said the horn appeared 3 years ago. At first, he did not feel uncomfortable but later it became more and more painful. He also felt self-conscious about his appearance because of this horn. Recently, he decided to go to the hospital to have the horn removed.

The surgery was performed at a hospital in Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia. Doctor Ruzil Khurmatullin performed the surgery. He said that in more than 25 years of practicing medicine, this was the first time he had seen such a strange horn.

The surgery went smoothly, the patient recovered quickly and is recovering well at home, the Mirror reported on May 7.

In 2019, Shyam Lal Yadav - an Indian farmer, also had to have a 10.2 cm long horn on the top of his head removed after 5 years of living with it.

The horn grew after an accident and grew over the years. Mr. Yadav had his barber cut it short, but it grew longer and faster, forcing him to seek medical help.
