According to reports, the listed night parking fee is 5,000 VND per visit, but people are charged 10,000 VND; during the day, the fee is 3,000 VND per visit, but they are charged 5,000 VND. In some cases, those who were overcharged were not even given change.
Residents are requesting that the hospital review and publicly disclose its pricing to avoid public dissatisfaction.
On November 14th, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health announced that it had directed Khanh Hoa General Hospital to investigate and resolve the issue.
Previously, on November 11th, Khanh Hoa General Hospital also sent a written explanation to the Department of Health. According to the explanation, the hospital stated that it would conduct an inspection to prevent the illegal collection of parking fees from continuing.
According to the hospital, after receiving the complaint, they requested Canh An Security Services Joint Stock Company (the winning bidder for the parking lot operation) to review and provide an explanation.
In a report sent to the hospital on November 7th, Canh An Company denied charging parking fees higher than the listed price. The complaint may have stemmed from the fact that during peak hours, people did not see the price list and therefore misunderstood the regulations.
The company is committed to continuously reviewing price lists, reminding staff to clearly explain prices to the public, and coordinating with hospitals to ensure that fees are collected correctly, transparently, and publicly.
In 2024, parking gate number 9 of Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital was criticized for charging fees higher than the listed price.
Upon inspection, the management discovered that the fee collector had arbitrarily increased the amount charged to customers for personal gain, so they dismissed the employee; the officers in charge and supervising the parking lot were reprimanded for allowing the error to occur.
