People complain that Khanh Hoa General Hospital "overcharges" parking fees

Many people have complained to the authorities of Khanh Hoa province about the situation of parking fees being charged higher than the listed price at Khanh Hoa General Hospital.

According to the reflection, the posted night parking fee is 5,000 VND/time but people are charged 10,000 VND; during the day it is 3,000 VND/time but people are charged 5,000 VND. In some cases, people were charged wrongly and did not get their change.

People asked the hospital to check and publicize prices to avoid frustration.

On November 14, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health said it had directed Khanh Hoa General Hospital to inspect and resolve the matter.

Previously, on November 11, Khanh Hoa General Hospital also sent a written explanation to the Department of Health. Accordingly , the hospital said it would organize an inspection to prevent illegal parking fees from continuing to occur.

According to the hospital, after receiving the feedback, the unit requested Canh An Security Service Joint Stock Company (the unit that won the auction to exploit the parking lot) to review and explain.

In a report sent to the hospital on November 7, Canh An Company denied charging parking fees higher than the posted price. The complaint may have been due to the fact that during peak hours, parking attendants did not see the price list and thus misunderstood.

The company pledged to continue checking the price list, reminding staff to explain clearly to people and coordinating with hospitals to ensure fees are collected in accordance with regulations, transparently and publicly.

In 2024, parking gate number 9 of Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital was reported to be charging a fee higher than the listed price.

Through inspection, the management discovered that the toll collector arbitrarily increased the amount collected from customers for his own benefit, so he was fired and the officers in charge and parking lot supervisors were disciplined for allowing the mistake to occur.
