Earlier, Mr. Thao discovered a pangolin that had wandered into his garden. Understanding that protecting wildlife is the responsibility of the entire society, he contacted the forest rangers' hotline to hand it over.

The Javan pangolin weighs 1.7 kg and is in normal health. After receiving it, the Huong Thuy Town Forest Protection Department is caring for and nurturing it and is completing the necessary procedures to release it back into its natural environment.

The Javan pangolin, scientifically known as Manis javanica, is listed in Group IB of the Category of Endangered, Rare, and Precious Forest Plants and Animals.

According to the head of the Huong Thuy town Forest Protection Department, the voluntary surrender of the aforementioned wild animals by the people demonstrates their awareness of working together to protect wildlife, making an important contribution to species conservation and biodiversity preservation.
