According to SamMobile , users of the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra models participating in the One UI 7 beta testing program have received a second beta update. This important update not only fixes outstanding bugs but also brings some new AI (artificial intelligence) features from the Galaxy S25, while also providing more clues about when the stable version will be released.
One UI 7 is getting better and better, elevating the Galaxy S23 series
The One UI 7 beta 2 update, with the build number ZYCE, has already started rolling out in the UK and is expected to expand to other markets participating in the beta program as soon as March 26. Registered users can check and download the latest update via 'Settings > Software update > Download and install'. Note that the Galaxy S23 FE model is not participating in this beta program.

The most notable highlight of beta 2 is the appearance of some AI features expected to be available on the Galaxy S25. Now, Galaxy S23 users can:
- Hold down the power key to quickly access the Google Gemini virtual assistant.
- Use text summarization tools and smart editing assistance by highlighting text in your web browser or in some supported applications.
Despite the addition of AI, the Galaxy S23 series will not receive the 'Audio Eraser' feature (which removes noise from videos). Samsung has confirmed that this feature will be reserved for flagship devices launched from 2024 onwards, such as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 tablet generation.
The beta 2 update also comes with a list of software and user interface fixes. The list is relatively short, which is seen as a positive sign that One UI 7 is getting more stable and the official version may be released soon.
Galaxy S23 users will need to be patient, however. While Samsung has mentioned plans to officially release One UI 7 for the series in April, as usual, the latest flagship devices like the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be prioritized to receive the stable update first.
The release of beta 2 marks an important step in the completion of One UI 7, bringing new experiences and improved stability to Galaxy S23 users before the official update reaches the majority of users.
