On the morning of October 7, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) opened direct sales at Go Dau Stadium (Thu Dau Mot Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) for tickets to watch the first leg match between Vietnam and Nepal in Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, on October 9 here.

In addition to online ticket sales, the implementation of direct ticket sales at the counter also aims to help fans have more options in buying tickets and coming to the stadium to support the Vietnamese team.

On the first day of direct ticket sales at the counter, the organizers will sell 1,960 tickets worth 400,000 VND, and 2,950 tickets worth 200,000 VND. Each citizen ID card can only buy a maximum of 5 tickets.

Nepal is quite weak, but that does not stop fans from coming to Go Dau Stadium to buy tickets to watch the match. Many people came from 7am to wait for the ticket sale to open. Therefore, the ticket sale time was also moved up by the organizers 30 minutes earlier than the old schedule of 9:30am.

Although there is only one counter open, thanks to 3 members standing by to sell, the process of receiving money and returning tickets happens quickly.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nguyen, from Lai Thieu, rushed to Go Dau Stadium at 8am to buy tickets. He said: "Last time, I asked my friends to buy tickets to watch the Vietnam team's opening match against Laos, but I couldn't buy them in time and had to wait until the match day to buy them. So this time, I took the opportunity to go buy them myself. Now that I've bought them, I feel much more secure."

In the line of people buying tickets, a tall man wearing a security guard's uniform stood out, "standing in the sun" waiting for his turn. As soon as he bought a ticket, he quickly moved on to finish his unfinished work.

"I was on duty as a security guard at the building near the yard, so I asked my colleague to help me watch a bit while I went over to buy a ticket. Not only did I buy it for myself, I also bought it for my friend who was on duty as a security guard at VSIP1.

Nepal is weak but I am a fan of the Vietnamese team, so I had to go watch it. I also went to watch the two previous matches between the Vietnamese team and Cambodia and Laos here," said Mr. Pham Van Mia (59 years old).

Mr. Tran Hoai Tuong (member of Becamex Ho Chi Minh City Fan Club) shared: “I was at the stadium from 8am to queue. This is the third time this year I bought tickets to watch the Vietnam team compete in Binh Duong . Other people booked online, I live near the stadium so it is more convenient to buy directly.

Tien Linh has scored in his new team, Cong An TP.HCM. And hopefully, he will score for the Vietnamese team in the match against Nepal after failing to score in the win against Laos in Binh Duong."

After 40 minutes of opening, the number of buyers was gone, the organizers closed the security fences to rest before continuing the sale at 3:30 p.m.

According to plan, tickets for the first leg match between Vietnam and Nepal will continue to be sold by the organizers until the match day or when tickets are sold out.

Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team are currently training hard to prepare for the two matches against Nepal. The goal of the Vietnamese team is to win all the matches to take the top spot in the group, and the only ticket from group F to the final round.
