Ms. Lam Thi Tuyet shared: "Once when participating in a social charity activity in the province, witnessing cases with extremely difficult circumstances, I felt extremely sorry for them, wishing to contribute a little to help them have more motivation to overcome difficulties."
Having participated in social charity work for over 10 years, Ms. Tuyet always considers the pain of others as her own. For her, doing social charity work mainly comes from the heart. When giving practical gifts, being able to promptly share some of the difficulties and hardships of others, she feels very happy.
Every year, Ms. Tuyet coordinates with organizations to give gifts to people in difficult circumstances, on average from 50 to 100 gifts. She also cares for and helps disadvantaged households in the neighborhood regularly, providing rice and necessities every month.
Ms. Tran Ngoc Suong (Long Dai quarter, Long Hoa ward) expressed: “My husband passed away, I live alone, my health is poor, life is still difficult. Luckily, every month, Ms. Tuyet supports me with rice, noodles and necessities. There are times when she even comes to visit and encourage me, I am extremely grateful.”
In addition, Ms. Tuyet and her group of friends also contribute money and effort to cook charity meals 1-2 times a month to help lonely elderly people and people in especially difficult circumstances in the area.
Ms. Lam Thi Tuyet participated in the activity of giving gifts to Agent Orange victims.
Not afraid of the long distance, Ms. Tuyet also went to other provinces to help people in difficulty, giving gifts to poor but studious students. Especially, during the complicated time of Covid-19 epidemic, seriously affecting people's lives, Ms. Tuyet was ready to support necessities for affected areas.
Ms. Tuyet shared: “Every time I participate in social charity activities and see people happy when receiving gifts, I am deeply moved. I hope that I will have good health so that I can have more opportunities to support those who are less fortunate.”
Not only actively participating in social charity work, Ms. Tuyet also encourages her family to practice a civilized lifestyle, live a useful life for society, and enthusiastically respond to local emulation movements.
Ms. Tuyet's efforts, enthusiasm and dedication to people in difficult circumstances have been recognized and rewarded by local authorities, sectors and organizations./.
