Carrying many war wounds, veteran Vo Xuan Trua (Lien Mieu village, Ky Thu commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh) is always a shining example in family economic development and local movements.
We met the 2/4th class disabled soldier - Vo Xuan Trua (born in 1950) when he and his wife had just returned from the hospital for a health check. For many years, he had been accustomed to being tormented by pain when the weather changed. However, like a hard-working bee, as soon as the pain was gone, he was a busy man. If he was not working with the members of the elderly association to build a model residential area, he was busy taking care of his family's small garden with all kinds of plants.
In addition to working sessions of the Lien Mieu Village Elderly Association and participating in commune movements, Mr. Trua is also busy with his family's small garden of fruit trees, flowers and ornamental plants.
Leaving the army and returning to his hometown with a disability rate of 61%, poor health, but with the will and determination of Uncle Ho's soldier, he promoted the spirit of "disabled but not useless", actively organized production, encouraged his wife and children to renovate the garden, grow vegetables, and raise poultry to develop the family economy.
He is also one of the pioneers in registering to build model gardens and building clean house - beautiful garden models.
Mr. Trua's family is one of the pioneers in building the model "Clean house - beautiful garden" in the locality.
“Although I was injured, I am luckier than many of my fallen comrades. Promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, I must try my best to develop my family’s economy and contribute to the development of society. As long as I have strength, I will contribute to be worthy of the sacrifice of my comrades,” Mr. Vo Xuan Trua confided.
Not only is he diligent and hardworking in building his family's economy and setting an example for his children and grandchildren, war invalid Vo Xuan Trua is also a person who strictly implements the Party's policies and the State's laws; he is a pioneer in implementing local movements and campaigns...
Mr. Trua and some members of the Lien Mieu Village Elderly Association in a meeting to discuss the movement "Elderly people build families with exemplary grandparents and parents and filial children and grandchildren"
In 2012, veteran Vo Xuan Trua was elected as the Head of the Lien Mieu Village Elderly Association. At that time, the association was facing many difficulties in terms of personnel, organization and all activities. Taking on the task, he gradually improved, organized and put the association's activities into order.
In particular, he proposed and connected to establish Sports Club, Intergenerational Self-Help Club, and mobilized members to actively participate in movements and campaigns such as: "All people unite to build new countryside, civilized urban areas", "Elderly people are shining examples", "Elderly people build exemplary grandparents and parents, filial children and grandchildren".
Lien Mieu village gate was built by Mr. Vo Xuan Trua, who mobilized his family and children to contribute tens of millions of dong.
Not only doing a good job of organizing, gathering, propagating and mobilizing members to implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and the association's programs, war invalid Vo Xuan Trua is also always an exemplary leader in all movements and campaigns.
