On the afternoon of September 30, a representative of the Traffic Safety Committee of Ha Giang province informed that during the scene investigation, the authorities determined that the initial cause of the particularly serious traffic accident between two motorbikes, causing 6 casualties in the area, was due to the driver of the motorbike with license plate 23G1-152.XX overtaking another vehicle without ensuring safety.
Previously, speaking with VietNamNet reporters, a representative of the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) said that at around 7:56 p.m. on September 29, at km 60+800m of National Highway 2 Ha Giang - Tuyen Quang (Viet Quang town, Bac Quang district, Ha Giang), an especially serious traffic accident occurred.
At that time, motorbike with license plate 23G1 - 152.XX (driver unknown) was traveling from Ha Giang to Tuyen Quang , with 3 people on board, including: TVP (born in 2000); STL and VVT (both born in 2004, residing in Xin Man district, Ha Giang) colliding with a motorbike going in the opposite direction with license plate 23D1-343.XX (driver unknown), with 3 people on board, including: LVT (born in 2009); NVB, MKV (both born in 2010, residing in Bac Quang district, Ha Giang).
As a result, TVP; NVB and LVT died; VVT; MKV and STL were injured. At the scene, 2 motorbikes were severely damaged.
Immediately after the incident, police were present at the scene to direct traffic and investigate the incident.
The leaders of Bac Quang District People's Committee directly directed the functional forces to urgently investigate the accident, and at the same time visited and encouraged the families of the deceased and the victims being treated at the hospital.
