Nguyen Van Chung speaks out about the suspicion of selling a billion-dollar hit to Hoa Minzy

Do not sell the song Pain in the Middle of Peace for money

Famous for his hits and commercial success, musician Nguyen Van Chung has songs for which he does not receive royalties.

When asked about the rumor of selling a billion-dollar song to Tung Duong and Hoa Minzy, Nguyen Van Chung affirmed: "I did not write the song at the request of Tung Duong and Hoa Minzy, but I wrote it myself and wanted to cooperate with the singers to bring beautiful values to society. Therefore, this is not a sale."

The musician shared with Dan Tri newspaper reporters that, for him, music is not only a way to make a living but also a means to spread good values. Songs like Vietnam - Proud to Follow the Future (performed by Tung Duong) and Pain in the Middle of Peace (sung by Hoa Minzy) are typical examples.

These are compositions with meaningful messages, aimed at the community and patriotism, so the musician wants them to be widely spread without focusing on economic issues.

Nguyen Van Chung believes that every artist has the responsibility to contribute spiritually to society. "A good song is a song that can live, spread to everyone and bring spiritual value," he emphasized.

For him, artists being able to buy back the copyright of their songs is also a way to invest in the development of Vietnamese music. However, he affirmed that he cannot do everything himself from composing, recording to video production.

"I don't have the money to do everything," the father of Continued Peace Story frankly said .

“But collaborating with other artists is possible. This is on one hand my spiritual product, on the other hand an investment so that the song can reach the audience in the best way," said Nguyen Van Chung.

When asked whether he is planning a 6 billion view "super product" like Continue Writing the Story of Peace , musician Chung also replied: "I haven't thought about it yet, maybe in 10 years."

To date, musician Nguyen Van Chung, born in 1983, has a huge musical legacy. He has over 700 self-composed songs.

In addition to his compositions about love, family and society, musician Nguyen Van Chung also devotes much of his passion to children's music. He has written more than 300 songs for children and has just released the book Continuing the Story of Peace and Cooperation published by Hanoi Pedagogical University Publishing House.

The book includes stories, music, and even QR codes so kids can scan and listen to music and watch video clips.

"I don't just want to write music, I want the songs to live," he confided. He hopes his children's songs will spread to kindergartens, schools, and performances, to truly live with the children, not just be music on paper.

When asked if he would continue composing children's music, he said 300 songs were enough. He wanted to spend time doing his best to spread those 300 songs to the children.

"If I keep writing but don't do anything to spread it, no one will listen, it won't be effective," he believes.

At the same time, musician Nguyen Van Chung has just donated the copyright of 300 of his children's songs to Voice of Vietnam so that his works have more opportunities to reach audiences.

Besides pop-ballad music, Nguyen Van Chung is also a pioneer in composing children's music, with more than 300 songs loved by children.
