Restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City ranked among the best in Asia

Anan Saigon Restaurant, in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, was honored at the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants awards, held in Singapore.

Anan Saigon is the only representative of Vietnam to appear in the top. The restaurant is a combination of the simplicity of Vietnamese cuisine and the elegance of European-style presentation. Some dishes include banh dip, wagyu beef pho, taco pancakes, foie gras sandwiches... Previously, in 2021, this restaurant was also in the top 50.

Topping the list is Le Du in Bangkok, Thailand, by chef Thitid Ton Tassanakajohn. The restaurant specializes in local cuisine. In 2022, Le Du restaurant ranked 4th.

China is the bright spot on the list with 12 restaurants, followed by Japan with 10. Singapore and Thailand are tied for third place, with nine restaurants on the list.

The World 's 50 Best Restaurants is an annual award, starting in 2002. This award was founded in 2002 by William Reed Business Media (UK), and first appeared in Restaurant magazine (UK).

In 2013, the awards expanded to include two more categories: Asia's 50 Best Restaurants and Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants.
