Ho Ho Hydropower Plant regulates flood through spillway from tonight

(Baohatinh.vn) - To proactively regulate the reservoir and limit the impact of heavy rain on the project and downstream areas, Ho Ho Hydropower Plant will regulate the spillway from 8:00 p.m. on August 25.

On the afternoon of August 25, the water flow into the lake was 80m3/s.

According to the plant's operation report, by the afternoon of August 25, the lake water level was at 62.12/70.00m. The water flow into the lake was 80m3/s; the water flow regulated through the spillway was 0m3/s; the water flow generating electricity through the generator was 4m3/s.

Light rain, strong wind in factory area, many trees were broken and uprooted.

The downstream water level is 21.70m. The total rainfall measured from 00:00 to 16:00 is 74.4mm.

In order to limit the impact of heavy rain on the project and downstream areas, the plant's leaders decided to regulate the spillway.

To be proactive in regulating the reservoir and to limit the impact of heavy rain on the project and downstream areas, Ho Ho Hydropower Plant will regulate the spillway with an expected flow rate of about 20m3/s to 500m3/s depending on the water flow into the reservoir. The spillway regulation will start at 20:00 on August 25.

Overflow time starts from 8:00 p.m. on August 25.
